The Director of Operations will be responsible for developing and implementing a Strategic Operations plan for the division utilizing the ITW FTB 80/20 business tools while demonstrating the ITW Leadership expectations. The Operations Director will collaborate with Operations Managers and Plant Managers to drive strong productivity and performance at each of our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate for this position possesses proven leadership skills, as well as a strong ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that encourage division growth.


• Foster a strong culture of Safety across the division

• Champion and lead implementation of ITW’s 80/20 principles and processes and Division toolbox initiatives for manufacturing and business operations.

• Utilize ITW Toolbox and Lean methods to deliver continuous improvement around:

• On-Time delivery

• Process simplification / cost savings

• Customer Service for A customers

• 5S

• Collaborate with divisional leadership to achieve annual and long-range plan objectives

• Oversee manufacturing, warehouse shipping and receiving, facilities, materials, supply chain/logistics, and maintenance functions for the division

• Communicate and manage operational KPIs for the division. Drive daily visual management of these KPIs within each location

• Responsible for managing and developing the talent within the Operations function

• Support business growth activities by working closely with commercial and innovation functions to ensure that new products are introduced efficiently and positively


• Bachelor's degree in related field

• 5 years of progressive Operations leadership experience

• Experience with lean manufacturing concepts

• Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated success in fostering a collaborative accountable and solution-oriented environment

• Must possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have a proven track record of thriving in a team environment

• Possess an insatiable curiosity and strong persistence

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively interact and present to both internal and external senior management

• Ability to deliver results through exceptional project management skills and natural leadership capabilities

• Strong computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Ability to work in fast pace entrepreneurial environment


• An advanced business or engineering master’s degree

• Experience in chemical manufacturing

• Experience implementing ITW 80/20 Toolbox


• Willingness to travel sometimes on short notice up to 50%


• Success is measured by the execution of the strategic operations plan that ties to and delivers the division’s Annual and Long-Range Plan goals
