North American Field Service Manager – Norwood, MA

This position is primarily responsible to direct the Instron field service organization to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while growing the business at a rate that is consistent with operating plans.
The Opportunity
The North American Field Service Manager will be directly accountable for managing Instron’s field service organization as a P&L business and responsible for the generation of field service revenues and control of field service expenses. The NAFSM will provide direct management to all North American Regional Service Managers. This position will also place a strong emphasis on personal and team SAFETY procedures and requirements. In addition, the NAFSM will be accountable for the management, protection and distribution of Instron’s field inventory, field service tools and test equipment.
Successful applicants will have or be working towards an AAS degree in Electric Technology or military/trade school equivalent. AAS in Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred. In addition, you must have working knowledge of and experience repairing electro-mechanical (closed loop control) systems. Must be willing to travel on average three nights per week, four weeks per month.
