Systems/Network Infrastructure Administrator: Troy Sales Office
Division Description:
ITW Automotive, North America, serves the major OEMs and their Tier suppliers.  We supply plastic fasteners, metal stamped fasteners, cold headed fasteners, powertrain fastening systems, tier repair kits, air registers, pressure relief valves and dampening solutions totalling over $800M in annual revenue.  Manufacuting units include:  Deltar, North American Stamped Fasteners, Shakeproof Automotive, Global Tire Repair, Air Flow Management and Motion.

Position Summary:
Plans, implements and oversees IT infrastructure to ensure the continuity of business at the Troy Automotive center. 
Job Description:
  • Local responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance methodologies that leverage leading practices to architect and deliver secure, highly available, and performant IT solutions
  • Champion and lead IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS strategies, migrations, and application consolidation, negotiate and implement contracts when required for business-related projects
  • Align local IT operations with business segment IT strategies, initiatives, projects and goals
  • Develop and manage of annual IT budget
  • Provide system administration to keep networks and servers operating efficiently and maximize uptime for critical business systems
  • Manage workstation, mobile platforms, and AV media resources throughout the facility
  • Maintain security for IT related equipment/electronic environment
  • Administer perimeter and interior security of building and network infrastructure via firewall management, VPN access, and security software
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for this location
  • Divisional Responsibilities
    • Assist with the deployment of cyber security strategies (antivirus, network vulnerability scans, and education) to help reduce possible threats within the division
    •  Align with and help standardize the division's infrastructure to drive ITW corporate's IT business tools, initiatives and goals.
    • Champion and maintain development of web presence while adhering to corporate's legal strategies for the Automotive business segment

 

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education:
Business Administration Degree preferred.  In lieu of degree, equivalent education and relevant work experience will be considered.
Experience: 

  • Excellent teamwork, time management, organizational, follow-up, and planning skills needed
  • 10+ year experience in IT support
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying levels of complexity
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships across all automotive IT segments
  • Support for IT issues both onsite and remote when required
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience working with outside vendors
  • Excellent oral/written communication, presentation & interpersonal skills
  • Must be disciplined self-starter
  • Strong aptitude to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Limited travel required on occasion
