Job Description

Primary purpose of the Set-up Tech:  Prepares tooling in advance of the day’s schedule of orders using the production schedule and board as a guide; assist in start-up of production lines; clean and perform minor maintenance on the tooling


Primary Responsibilities:

In addition to the above duties the Set-up Tech will gain knowledge of injection molding processes for the purpose of advancing to a Process Technician position

Job Requirements



Minimum 6 months work experience in Injection Mold set-up position

Good planning and organizational skills

Ability to work in an unsupervised environment and follow through with instructions

Be in good standing with the company

Able to work over-time on short notice including week-ends

Able to work within the safety standards set

Visual aptitude – vision correctable to 20/20 with depth perception

Able to lift up to 45 lbs.

Able to stand for a minimum of 8 consecutive hours

Able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during the consecutive 8 hour shift

Vision abilities:  close vision, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle, frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
