Job Description

Alpine, an ITW company, currently has an opening for a Mechanical Assembler position in its Grand Prairie, TX facility 
to produce assemblies, and Alpine machine systems by assembling, testing and troubleshooting final product according to standard operating procedures. Provides assistance and cross-functional support as required by business and customer requirements.

* Analyze blueprint and specifications, plans machine building operation
* Verify conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints
* Lay out hole locationsa nd drills and taps holes on parts for assembly
* Algin components for assembly and bolts, screws, dowels parts together or arranges for assembly by electrician.
* Verify alignment and tolerance of parts
* Test operation of assembly manually or with powered controls
* Assemble, set up and operate machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer's specifications with wrenches, tools, calipers and gauges to accomplish task at each level
* Follow all quality checks and procedures. Participate in root cause analysis to reduce unnecessary quality issues.
* Communicates with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner.
* This position may be assigned other duties as needed to support plant and to meet customer

Job Requirements:

* High School Diploma or GED
* Some college or technical school preferred
* Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial related experience in setup, blueprint reading, technical math, measuring tools, machine building and/or equipment maintenance.
* Ability to understand basic machinery operation
* Demonstrate a willingness to cooperate in a team environment
* Ability to recognize nad identify parts, problems, and offer resolution.
