Summary
This positon is within our Industrial Product Group (IPG).  IPG is responsible for developing and manufacturing static hydraulic testing systems, high capacity pendulum impact testers, and static torsion testing systems.  These systems are used by our customers to perform a variety of mechanical tests including tension, compression, bend, shear, and impact on materials such as metals, concrete, and composites.
 
Our Mechanical Assemblers work in small team and are responsible for assembling and testing our products in accordance to Instron’s quality standards.  Successful candidates will have at least 5 years of mechanical and hydraulic assembly experience together with the following:
  • Ability to look at the intent of a design and come up with an assembly solution.   
  •  Hydraulics/Pheumatics a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret moderately complex blueprints, sketches, hydraulic schematics, and electrical.
  • Experience using assembly tools, test instrumentation and calibration equipment such as micrometers.
  • Be self-motivated, a great team player and have a positive attitude
