Job Description

ITW Sexton is a world leader in the production of two-piece specialty aerosol cans for automotive and adhesives & sealants applications.  ITW Sexton pioneered the design and production of deep-drawn metal seamless containers.  This leadership position enables the organization to offer a wide range of standard and customized can designs for the most demanding applications.

This position is primarily responsible for the Inventory coordination of steel raw materials for manufacturing use and support. Ensure accuracy of daily inventory transactions and lead monthly inventory cycle-counting process and controls related to raw material, WIP and finished goods. Responsibility includes all related warehouse, shipping/receiving duties, departmental back-up, support and coverage. Ability to investigate variances, communicate solutions and follow with actions.

The position’s primary responsibilities include:

  •  Ensure the facility is supplied with raw steel materials required for the manufacturing process, to include can bottom / disc production and scheduling.
  • Communicate raw steel material requirements to Materials Shipping Manager
  • Data entry of production reporting and involved in establishing/auditing BOM’s.
  • Verify daily finished good movement, confirmed with production reporting.
  • Warehousing, shipping and receiving duties.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Work Performed/Requirements:

All operators/technicians are required to:

  • keep their work areas clean, uphold 5-S principles
  • wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • work as team members with the other line employees.
  • support troubleshooting, problem solving, root cause analysis, and related process improvement activities.Operators/technicians work in an environment in which hearing protection is required. Operators/technicians will be required to lift boxes, tooling, and other objects. The work environment is consistent with other heavy manufacturing environments; proper precautions and care should be taken. Overtime may be required as business demands dictate. 

 Technical Know-How:

Strong mathematical, reading, computer & related software application skills. Demonstrates great communication skills & professionalism; strong forklift operating skills; general knowledge of our production systems & product. The ability to perform functions without close supervision.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required. The position requires frequent lifting, keen vision, mental awareness, team orientation, and careful attention to detail. Fork truck certification is a prerequisite. An employee may be hired without prior certification; successful completion of probationary period will require achievement of certification.
