Division Description:

Shakeproof Automotive Products (SAP) serves all the major OEMs and their tier suppliers with metal/cold headed fasteners totaling approximately $175M in revenues. Units include: Bedford, OH, Elk Grove, Elgin, Machesney Park, IL, and Darlington, WI. The metals

  • Maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in NA.  
  • Exchanging product, process and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide.

Position Title: Material Handler

Essential duties may include but not limited to:

  • Loading and unloading coils from pins and compactor.
  • Cutting bands, making tags and other computer functions.
  • Recognize/Differentiate between steel grades, heats & sizes
  • Identify scale, smut, rust, & other visual defects
  • Knowledge of various coatings & non conformances
  • Delivering raw material to Production lines
  • Verifying raw material to job sheets
  • Loading and unloading semi’s/vans
  • Weighing up production for shipment
  • Dumping scrap
  • Knowledge of work instructions & customer specifications
  • Follow production schedule put in place by Supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • Communication skills both oral and written
  • Self-motivated; Team work is mandatory
  • Attention to detail
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Loyal and dedicated to achieve goals
  • Other responsibilities as needed.
