Job Description

 REPORTS TO: Operations  Manager

 POSITION SUMMARY: Process all incoming and outgoing materials and outside processes, identifying, directing, and controlling their flow through the system, and provides support service to the production process.  This position will be based in Alexandria, MN.

 JOB DUTIES:

  • Responsible for receiving all materials and outside processes
  • Order and maintain all shipping supplies
  • Prepare all shipments per internal or customer specific procedures
  • Responsible for preparing all shipping documentation including packing slips, bills of lading, and export documents
  • Ensure all import/export processes meet ITW Trade Compliance requirements
  • Arrange all shipping logistics
  • Responsible for movement of materials to the production process and related transactions in the ERP system
  • Receive customer Return Material Authorization and route accordingly
  • Maintain finished goods inventory and cycle counting
  • May be asked to direct the work of others to expedite material flow, and provide training as needed
  • Recommend ways to improve the flow of parts through the system
  • Follow all quality procedures and achieve line of sight requirements
  • Meet all safety and 5S expectations
  • Maintain proper record retention per ITW standards
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred, especially within the Material Handling function
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Experience interpreting blue prints and using documentation systems preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) is preferred
  • Strong organization and time management skills required
  • Strong communication skills required
