Job Description

Summary:  Perform administrative tasks to support the operations group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
Create Work Orders in production database (QAD), generate and manage scheduling tags and production documentation.
Perform inventory tracking, corrections, verifications and assist in Cycle Count programs.
Prepare purchase orders for raw materials, factory and manufacturing supplies and assists with purchasing of finished products based upon stocking programs and customer requests.
Receive shipments, verify receiving and receipt paperwork, noting any discrepancies
Perform shipping transactions and assists with coordinating of shipping activities.
Assist Production in daily review and tracking of materials usage and productivity in production database, prepare production reports.
Adhere to all safety and corporate rules and policies.
 Production Database experience (preferably QAD), with demonstrated ability to insure accurate and timely data entry in the completion of shipping and material usage related transactions.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with ability to understand and populate off-line databases tracking pertinent productivity & efficiency data plant-wide.
  • Ability to analyze and correct Work Orders from production floor to insure accurate and timely material and productivity-based transactions.
  • Good communication skills required in contacting & scheduling shippers as well as addressing and correcting discrepancies with production staff regarding material usage and/or productivity information from daily production reports coming from the production floor.
  • Previous Production Control / Manufacturing / Shipping & Receiving experience
    In addition, the employee must be willing and able to perform any other work tasks as defined or requested by supervisor or management.
    Education and Experience:
     5-7 years of work experience in a manufacturing office environment
  • Good mechanical and mathematic ability and the ability learn and understand coating, metallizing and mixing machinery functions and requirements
  • Possess good judgment and decision making skills
  • Be well organized and possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Be computer literate and have basic-to-moderate understanding of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook (The ability to learn others)
  • Interpret, understand and adhere to customer requirements
  • The ability to prioritize tasks
  • Able to adapt to challenging and demanding work environment
