This position will be based out of our headquarters facility in Hatfield, PA (Suburban Philadelphia). In addition to our Pennsylvania operations, Brooks maintains manufacturing locations in, Hungary, and Korea.  The Company also maintains sales offices throughout
the world.  Our products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: life sciences, chemicals, semiconductor, analytical instruments, nuclear, and solar cells.

Basic Function


The Material Attendant position performs a wide variety of tasks relating to the movement of materials throughout the warehouse.  He/she is responsible to receive, identify, store, disburse, and inventory materials, supplies, and equipment in their assigned
area.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Align with the Company’s Mission, Guiding Principles, Values, Goals and Objectives.
  • Work from instructions and exercises judgment to perform required duties.
  • Able to successfully complete all basic and reoccurring training.
  • Read work orders to locate production materials and verify and accounting for all materials.
  • Initiate transactions for receipt and disbursement of inventory.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins accordingly.
  • Work with computer (bar coding, etc.)
  • Pull parts to pick list requirement, customer orders, and to fill Kan Bans
  • Process non-conforming materials for Material Review Board
  • Quality minded; Accuracy, attention detail and problem skills.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels by identifying, labeling, stocking and recording materials.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees and managers.
  • Regular attendance and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Work in a fast paced environment and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Cross-train and work in various areas of shipping/receiving/material handling in response to production demands.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience


The candidate for this position must possess initiative in the workplace, problem solving skills and strong work ethic, have a proactive approach, excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal), and be able to resolve conflicts
quickly. 


  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-2 years warehouse experience required.
  • Basic math and computer skills are required.

The physical demands of kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting (up to approximately 50 lbs.), talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of
