Position Summary:

The Material Handler Coordinator – Deltar Fasteners will report to the Production Manager – Deltar Fasteners. The most important responsibility for this position is to coordinate the resources and assign tasks to the material handlers to ensure that correct materials, quantities, equipment and conditioning are ready for production use when required. This position requires to work in coordination with production, shipping, outsourcing and purchasing of raw materials, assuring that all the tasks and communication are successfully and efficiently done. 

Job Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Material Handlers activities and tasks.
  • Coordination with other departments (production, shipping, outsourcing and purchasing) to assure the communication, effectiveness and completion in all the daily operations.
  • Assure that the blended raw material activities and tasks are done.
  • Raw material inventory control. Support and assure that inventory control plan and activities are done.
  • Troubleshooting of the Central Feeding Systems and drying systems.
  • Organize and assure training of new hires.
  • Trash, compactor bin and regrinded material bins coordination.
  • Perform and support the Material Handlers as required in their daily tasks.
  • Shed Organization, 5S improvement.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience with plastic injection molding, along with hands on experience with raw materials, mold set-up, and troubleshooting skills for electric injection machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • 3 years of experience with Central Feeding systems & trouble shooting.
  • Personal Computer experience (email, Excel files, generate reports in Trans4m).
  • Ability to read/understand schedules.
  • Use of calculators.
  • Hand and Power lift truck operation.
  • Excellent work and safety record.
  • 5S and Continuous Improvement identification and implementation.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs.

  • Ability to wear personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas
