Job Description

The Marketing Manager plays an integral role in strategically planning, leading and executing integrated marketing communications that deliver business results across Avery Weigh-Tronix brands. This marketing expert will be responsible for creating scalable and strategic brand initiatives targeting end users and leveraging channel partners while driving successful buy-in, execution and impact.  This role will collaboratively work with Business Unit and Product Management, Sales, and Outside agencies to deliver common understanding and brand voices that will motivate our targeted end users and distribution partners plus new channels to act in order to achieve our set marketing and business goals.


Strategic Development: Support the development of key brand foundational tools including brand positioning, brand narrative and overall strategy. Drive evolution of brand strategy and messages stories that are clear, ownable and adapted to our end users and distributors.

Brand Campaign Management: Lead the development of go to market strategy and execute integrated brand specific marketing campaigns and tools that drive growth through distribution channels spanning multiple media outlets including digital, social, search, and events that drive results, driving target end user conversions working in conjunction with the marketing and sales teams.

Leadership and Collaboration: Develop a team of diverse, high performing MarCom professionals. Lead outside agency partners and serve as primary point of contact ensuring marketing objectives outlined Product Managers are delivered on time and on budget. Responsible for managing the marketing budget to deliver results at the most efficient spend.

Creative Development: Responsible for telling a simple, compelling story consistently across all channels of communication.  Leads the development of collateral materials, merchandising, promotional pieces, and trade show management.

Marketing Analytics: Leads the development and alignment on program KPIs with key stakeholders. Delivers insightful and actionable reports/dashboards to key stakeholders.

Digital Expertise: Lead strategy and execution of digital, social, mobile, and influencer marketing to deliver brand engagement. Analyze spend and return on investment for all digital marketing levers.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven capability in agency recruitment/briefing and management

  • Proven budgetary control and reporting
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products, Coral and Photoshop

Required Education and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing plus a minimum of 3 years marketing experience, with demonstrated results.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in a product based B2B business environment
  • Prior B2B marketing experience (ideally in a smaller company with hands on experience or number 2 in a larger entity)
  • People management – experience developing a team and understands how to manage remote employees
  • Ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
  • Position reports to the Marketing Director.
