Job Description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategic management of all assigned brands within ITW’s Residential & Renovation division.  This is an exciting opportunity to manage and grow innovative portfolios with a focus on the needs of end users in the Residential & Renovation construction space.  This position will have influence over developing multi-generational product roadmaps to maintain core market leadership and evaluate new market opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drives customer backed innovation activities by conducting market research to influence product development and create multi-generational product roadmaps
  • Leads new product commercialization activities to drive revenue and profitability gains
  • Develops and executes annual marketing plan based on thorough understanding of internal trends, competitive trends and market opportunities
  • Influences price strategy, actively develops and implements programs and promotions to optimize profitability
  • Develops forecasts for business analysis, capacity planning and capital requests 
  • Leads 2 direct reports to manage daily responsibilities and provide long-term development
  • Assists in creation of marketing collateral, sales materials, and training programs
  • May support the sales team in customer meetings including conducting product demonstrations
  • Leads cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, Finance. etc.) to support assigned product portfolio
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree required in business, marketing or comparable discipline; MBA a plus
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience including at least 4 years in a product management role
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams, peers and direct reports through dynamic leadership capabilities
  • Must be a strategic and creative thinker as it relates to marketing and business issues 
  • Financial acumen to analyze financial results and new market opportunities
  • New product introduction experience required
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of marketing professionals
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong presentation skills  
  • Successful track record of collaboration as a cross-functional team member or leader in a matrixed organization  
  • Pricing and promotions experience strongly preferred
  • Up to 20% travel
