Title: Marketing Communications (MARCOM) Manager ITW Professional Automotive Products & International Sales

Reports to: Senior MARCOM Manager, ITW Global Brands


The MARCOM Manager will support the development and implementation of successful national and account-specific marketing activities for key accounts and focus brands within the respective portfolios. S/He will build knowledge of the B2B and B2C marketplace to best leverage the MARCOM Toolbox (digital, social, eCRM, coupons, rebates, merchandising, grassroots, customer marketing integration, training, point-of-purchase materials, etc.).  Contributes to the team’s goal to drive organic growth and sustainable differentiation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Work with the Senior MARCOM Manager to develop marketing programs to drive sales and profits at B2B and B2C customers.
  2. Develop, implement and track the performance of marketing activities for key accounts.
  3. Maintain budgets for marketing programs and special projects as assigned.
  4. Develop annual promotional calendar for accounts as assigned.
  5. Work closely with Brand and Sales to support the successful sell-in of new products and services.
  6. Work with Category Management, New Product Development and Sales to develop and maintain competitive promotional analysis.
  7. Develop an understanding of the brand portfolios, competition and key competitive edges.
  8. Partner with Sales teams to ensure best possible strategic promotions are brought to life.
  9. Provide input to sales for line reviews.
  10. Maintain strong working relationship with Sales, Brand, New Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, customers and outside suppliers.
  11. Perform analysis of proposed displays to determine revenue and variable margin targets.  In addition, performs a post-analysis of promotions and displays to determine the success or failure, as well as future viability.
  12. Maintain monthly a promotional deck across all key accounts.
  13. Participate in cross-functional projects and teams.
  14. Ensure all customer/promotional messages are consistent with brand strategy and delivers against consumer/customer insights.
  15. Coordinate trade shows and large customer meetings.
  16. Manage, track and refresh training programs.


  1. 4-year undergraduate degree in a Marketing or Sales discipline.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in a Marketing role.
  3. Self-motivated with ability to hit deadlines.
  4.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  5. Excellent project manager, able to handle many activities and manage details that can help drive sales growth.
  6. Clear understanding of general marketing principles.
  7. Analytical skills.
  8. Excellent organizational skills & strong attention to detail.
  9. Excellent Presentation Skills.
  10. Proven skills in building relationships & collaboration.
  11. Customer focused with ability to objectively assess opportunities and fit with customer’s needs.
  12. Working knowledge of basic financial principles.
  13. Must be able to travel up to 20% of time.  Including international travel.
