Title: Marketing Communications (MARCOM) Associate - ITW Professional Automotive Products & International Sales

Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager, ITW Professional Automotive Products

Location: Lakeland, FL

Summary:

The MARCOM Associate will support the development and implementation of successful marketing campaigns for key sales channels (Distributors, Quick Lubes and Tire/Muffler/Brake) and focus brands (Wynn’s, Full Throttle, QMI, Rain-X and Gumout Professional). S/He will build knowledge of these B2B sales channels to best leverage the MARCOM Toolbox (spiffs, rebates, signage, training, web & digital, trade shows, sell sheets, catalogs, CRM, print advertising, etc.).  Contributes to the team’s goal to drive organic growth and sustainable differentiation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Work with the Senior Marketing Manager to develop marketing programs to drive sales and profits.
  2. Execute the promotional strategy in the Distributor/Quick Lube, Tire/Muffler/Brake channels.  Drive sales through strategic initiatives.
  3. Develop, implement and track the performance of marketing activities for key customers.
  4. Maintain budgets for marketing programs and special projects as assigned.
  5. Develop annual promotional calendar for customers.
  6. Work closely with Brand and Sales to support the successful sell-in of new products and services.
  7. Develop an understanding of the brand portfolio, competition and key competitive edges.
  8. Provide input to sales for business reviews.
  9. Maintain strong working relationship with Sales, Brand, New Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, customers and outside suppliers.
  10. Maintain monthly a promotional deck across all key customers tracking and reporting activities and results.
  11. Participate in cross-functional projects and teams.
  12. Ensure all customer/promotional messages are consistent with brand strategy and delivers against customer and end user insights.
  13. Coordinate trade shows and large customer meetings.
  14. Manage, track and refresh training programs.
  15. Develop creative briefs for marketing agencies and in-house design team.

Requirements:

  1. 4-year undergraduate degree in a Marketing or Sales discipline.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in a Marketing role.
  3. Self-motivated with ability to hit deadlines.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  5. Excellent project manager, able to handle many activities and manage details that can help drive sales growth.
  6. Clear understanding of general marketing principles.
  7. Analytical skills.
  8. Excellent organizational skills & strong attention to detail.
  9. Excellent presentation skills.
  10. Proven skills in building relationships & collaboration.
  11. Customer focused with ability to objectively assess opportunities and fit with customer’s needs.
  12. Working knowledge of basic financial principles.
  13. Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
