Job Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of marketing initiatives and programs and to provide daily support to the product management, innovation, and sales teams.  You will support the management of an assigned group of core product lines, with the potential to have management of a non-core line. Specifically, you will support the commercialization of new products and activities affecting profitability, as well as assist in the development of marketing activities and programs in accordance with the goals and objectives of the organization. 

The primary responsibilities of this position include:       

  • Act as a liaison among product managers, innovation, sales, R&D, packaging development, customer service, distribution in the development and implementation of promotional activation
  • Assist with product line planning, rationalization of obsolete, slow moving and low margin products, and coordination of product cost and pricing activities
  • Assist with the development of external competitive information with respect to product performance and competitors market positioning
  • Assist with the development of new programs and sets which can include planograms
  • Coordinate product launch activities including packaging development, promotions, launch and post-launch activities
  • Create and manage external push/pull market communication program implementation and tracking effectiveness across brands into our selling channels
  • Assist with the development and execution of targeted marketing programs and communications for increased product, application, promotion and end user awareness and education
  • Organize and maintain marketing files and resources, such as, pricing information, POP, graphics, and other related marketing materials
  • Work with 3rd party agencies to maintain websites/catalogues
  • Collaborate with the product managers to maintain marketing and promotional calendars
  • Actively leverages key ITW principles to simplify business, reduce costs and complexity, improve profitability

Requirements of the job:

  • Bachelors in Business / Marketing or a related field
  • 1-3 years marketing exposure
  • Strong writing, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook, as well as adaptability to business information system tools
  • Results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities with highly effective follow through skills; Project Management Skills, Planning & Organizational skills, Conceptual aptitude
