Job Description

Brooks Instrument, a global manufacturer of flow and pressure measurement and control products for critical applications, and a division of ITW (A Fortune 150 Company) is seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Technician. This position will be based out of our headquarters location at Hatfield, PA (Suburban Philadelphia).  Brooks maintains manufacturing, sales, and service center facilities around the world, and our products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: life sciences, petro-chemicals, semiconductor, analytical instrumentation, nuclear, and solar cells.                                                                                         

Basic Function

The Manufacturing Technician will provide technician level support to Operations and Engineering personnel. This position will also support the resolution to Systems Automation Group tickets and GEMBA level tasks affecting manufacturing order completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assemble, calibrate, and test electromechanical equipment (e.g. assembly, calibration and test fixtures) with direction.
  • Design of basic electromechanical equipment for production use.
  • Conduct tests to analyze and troubleshoot product and equipment failures.
  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of production equipment as well as implementing upgrades and enhancements.
  • Support facilities by assisting with maintenance of production equipment on PM system.
  • Participate in Company continuous improvement and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to retrieve and interpret documents from the Brooks Instrument PDM (Team Center) and update OMS documentation as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
  • Proficient in use of various instrumentation tools, eg:  oscilloscope, function generator, etc.
  • High school diploma plus a 2 year technical degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Technician required.
  • PC knowledge with Microsoft Windows, and/or training, or equivalent experience, or special training, required.
