Job Description

This key manufacturing role will work to cross train in multiple areas within the ITW Carol Stream facility. This person will provide the highest quality pads according to written specifications and meeting or exceeding customer specifications. Including assisting in training and problem-solving for any pad related issue.  Cross train in all padmaking duties, assisting in controlling costs, promoting process improvements, and meeting scheduling and inventory goals.  Meet 100% accurate (product, quantity, customer, location, shipping method and requirements) delivery goals. 


  • Follow the pad manufacturing process including formulations, baking, demolding, re-baking, and cleaning the bases to ensure pads are molded to meet quality standards, on time, and within budget. Assist in documenting the process and any changes
  • Follow the scheduling system for pad manufacturing. Ensure delivery times are met.
  • Assist in obtaining quotations from vendors as required.
  • Ensure that returned or non-conforming product is processed.
  • Create and process work orders, pick print tickets and reconcile with orders.
  • Receive, store and organize materials, molds, and finished goods accurately. Update computer system records accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Inform manager of any issues regarding inventory capacity goals and months on hand inventory.
  • Set up, mix and maintain silicone formulas accurately.
  • Maintain all departmental equipment according to schedule.
  • Grind, wash, and final inspect products.
  • Package and ship pads accurately and on-time. Assist in verifying cost effective shipping for various carriers.
  • Follow department and company procedures for associate safety, proper disposal of all hazardous materials, and adherence to all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Follow housekeeping schedule.
  • Assist internal (and external if requested by sales force) customers with pad-related issues or questions.

Job Requirements

Physical Requirements:

Occasionally required to communicate by telephone, email, and in person. Frequently required to operate equipment, stand, walk, kneel, lift and carry items up to 40 lbs., bend and climb while performing duties. May be certified and trained to use a forklift.

Mental Requirements:

Occasionally required to use good judgement for decision making, and communicate verbally and in writing. Regularly required to prioritize duties.

Knowledge/Experience Requirements:

  • HS. Diploma or GED.
  • Ideally, 1 year experience in a production environment.
  • Basic PC skills including use of Word,Excel, and Outlook.
