Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for delivering technology and process improvement for the manufacturing operations and leading the safety program for the facility. As a leader of the maintenance and engineering team, this role designs, develops, tests and evaluates integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. Additionally, this role will be responsible for leading health and safety programs to ensure a culture where the environment, health, and safety is top priority. This role will have responsibility of collecting and analyzing supply chain data, recommending improvements to boost performance and reduce costs, and coordinating with other professionals to implement changes and new systems.  

Core Responsibilities:

• Serves as a technical leader for process, equipment and product improvements with primary focus on aerosol manufacturing operations.

• Implement 80/20 principles to prioritize supply chain processes.

• Develop requirements and standards (e.g. packaging, procurement, delivery)

• Manages the installation, repair and upkeep operations of an organization's equipment

• Ensure field compliance with EH&S programs including Occupational Safety and Health Regulations (OSHA),

• Assist with incident investigations to ensure thorough documentation and resolution

• Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements

• Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects

• Acts as Subject Matter Expert providing training and technical guidance.

• Help foster trusting relationships with business partners

• Collaborate with IT professionals operations leadership to implement effective systems

• Provide technology, aerosol process engineering design, and technical management for the operations facility.

• Track KPIs and report on supply chain’s performance

• Foster, communicate and exemplify the values of ITW; act with integrity and trust, operate with simplicity, treat everyone with respect, take shared risk. 

• Travel as needed for business needs. <20%  

Job Requirements

Core Skills/Education/Experience Requirements:

• BS/BBA in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering with 0-3 years of chemical manufacturing operations planning/leadership or equivalent combined experience. 

• Knowledge of ERP software systems, Microsoft Navision is a plus.

• One year of experience in a high hazard chemical industry is required, aerosol manufacturing strongly preferred.

• Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point), Outlook.

• Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting

• Strong financial acumen 

• Able to adapt to changes in the work environment

• Excellent communication skills with all levels of the company 

• Skilled in effective cross functional collaboration and engagement  

• Proficient time management and prioritization skills

• Ability to utilize data for analytical and data modeling  

• Possess business analytical and strategic problem solving skills
