Division Description:

ITW Appliance Components serves all the major Appliance OEM in the US, Europe, Asia, and Mexico and their tier suppliers.  This global division manufactures mechanical, electromechanical and electrical components and assemblies with a variety of manufacturing processes.  We have locations in the US, China, Mexico, the UK, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Italy.

Responsibilities:

•       Support a strong safety culture by actively participating in safety programs and layered process audits to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.

•       Support installation, start-up and validation of new injection molding lines, tools and automated assembly equipment.

•       Establish and execute start-up and shut-down procedures and work instructions for injection molding equipment, molds and automated assembly equipment.

•       Develops and releases manufacturing engineering documentation (work instructions, methods and procedures) for new or changed processes.

•       Develops efficient troubleshooting techniques and adjusts molding and assembly parameters to maintain quality and maximum product output.

•       Investigate, recommend, procure and oversee the installation of new tools, machines, and assembly systems for both new and legacy products.

•       Develop, improve and document manufacturing processes through detailed PFMEA’s and PMAP’s.

•       Support continuous production improvements and initiatives through process downtime reduction, increase in FPY, material utilization, tooling and equipment improvements, layout upgrades and process in-lining.

•       Work in conjunction with Maintenance and Quality personnel to ensure manufacturing equipment is running at optimum performance and producing quality products.

•       Work with design and machine build staff concerning product, equipment, and tooling design to ensure efficient manufacturability of new product, as well as improvement of existing product.

•        Designs, deploys (installs and debugs) and qualifies manufacturing systems, processes, techniques and QA incoming/outgoing inspection fixturing. 

Job Requirements

•       BS IE, ME or related field with a minimum of five years related experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

•       Hands on experience with Automated/Semi-Automated processes and Injection Molding operations.

•       Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Microsoft Project, Access, and 3d CAD software (SOLIDWORKS preferred).

•       Knowledge of statistical tools; SPC, Cpk, GR&R, DOE, etc.

•        Excellent time management, prioritization and project management skills.

•       Good command of English, both written and oral for effective communication with other ITW units and business leaders.

•       Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues to create a results driven team-oriented environment.
