Position Overview:

Responsible for ensuring the equipment, parts, and services provided by the company are at the highest level of performance, quality, and availability. This will be achieved through the successful planning and utilization of materials and resources to meet production requirements. 

Responsibilities:

Pursue and execute on continuous improvement in all aspects of performance related to Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain & Logistics:

  • Develop an expert level knowledge on all related processes and resources; identifying and executing on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Focus to ensure that processes are in place to ensure all products that enter and leave the factory meet the required quality levels.
  • Collaborate with partner functions, including Customer Relations, Supply Chain & Logistics, toward optimizing Order generation, processing and fulfilment
  • Generate, track and communicate KPI’s and related business critical information

Support the Manufacturing team toward effectively delivering to the production demands of Loma customers:

  • Provide hands-on, daily support to manufacturing resources and processes that effectively deliver to the production schedule and customer needs
  • Demonstrate visible continuous improvement through effective application of ITW best practices (e.g. in-lining, 80/20, Front-to-back)
  • Identify and execute on continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact and improve fixed and variable costs

Collaborate with Global Quality personnel to ensure that relevant internal and external requirements are effectively tracked, maintained, and continually improved (e.g. ISO9001:2015):

  • Ensure that all relevant external requirements are met
  • Act as internal expert for all quality related issues
  • Manage and execute on programs to optimise, maintain, monitor and report on Quality systems and processes (e.g. QICAT, ZVA)
  • Lead the proper identification, auditing and documentation of business-critical processes as demonstrated through maintenance and advancement of ISO9001:2015 certification
  • Maintain and support organizational Health & Safety

In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by their supervisor that are essentially related to their duties

Job Requirements



Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related Engineering field required
  • Minimum 3 years of previous experience in production/manufacturing, quality, supply chain or similar role required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively work within cross-functional teams
  • Familiar with standards such as The International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Compliance Regulations, European Conformity Regulations (CE), etc.
  • Ability to embrace and implement company philosophy into their work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Bi, Visio, Access) and SharePoint

Desirable:

  • Experience within a capital equipment manufacturing organization
  • Experience with Project Management
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or quality role at an ITW division a plus

Work Context/Other: Results oriented, communicative team environment. Work performed in an office and production environment. Position requires up to 10% domestic and international overnight travel to suppliers facilities, ITW divisions, customers, & Loma Systems international facilities. Incumbent must be proactive, support external and internal customers, and quantitative results-driven projects. In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by their manager that are essentially related to their duties.
