Job Description

ITW Rippey is currently accepting resumes for a Manufacturing Engineer.  This position is responsible for the development of assigned new products, processes, equipment, and supporting the overall factory operations.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Analyze and evaluate methods of production, maintaining our strict environmental requirements and progress.  Participate in the planning, design, selection, procurement, installation and validation of new processing equipment. 
  • Assists in planning, design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations for PVA brush processing. 
  • Using customer, external and internal sources will design, manage and build new products from inception through implementation as a manufacturing product. 
  • Will monitor existing equipment and products for improvements and problem resolution.
  • Contribute to process improvements. 
  • Resolves technical problems and may recommend improvements to production methods, determine manufacturing capacity, and set up production schedules.  
  • Maintain facility systems (wastewater, HVAC, chemical distribution, life safety, etc.)
  • Software programming for industrial automation, remote monitoring, and data aquisition.
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing, conversion operations, wastewater, and facility operations. 
  • Supports ITW Toolbox projects including In-Lining, MRD, PLS and 80/20 evaluations. 
  • Will maintain procedures and documentation including specifications. 
  • Participate on spill response and emergency teams. 
  • Contributes to maintain and improve overall Company personnel safety. 
  • Responsible for adhering to all Company, department, quality, and safety procedures. 
  • Other job-related duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

To perform this job successfully, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Mechanical Engineering preferred, Chemical, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering). 
  • Three (3) to five (5) years or more related experience in manufacturing and engineering processes;
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Effective communication, both verbal and with PC based tools. 
  • Strong project management skills required. 
  • Drafting capability.
  • Experience with development and implementing new manufacturing technologies. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. 
  • Strong mechanical and electrical hands on capabilities. 
  • PLC programming knowledge preferred. 
  • Some travel may be required.
