Job Description


To perform established preventative maintenance and repairs on all machinery, building facilities and equipment to satisfy internal customer requirements.


  • Maintain and control the plant machinery, building and equipment preventative maintenance program.
  • Maintain and repair production equipment, building, facilities, etc. as requested. Maintain and repair electrical equipment such as PLC’s, CNC’s, and associated electrical controls.
  • Contact and work with outside technical service providers.
  • Fabricate parts, equipment, carts, racks, fixtures, etc., as requested.
  • Add, alter or repair such items as air lines, plumbing lines, electrical lines,etc.
  • Identify building, equipment or safety problems and take corrective action.
  • Performs work in a safe manner by following all safety rules and insures that proper safety equipment is used (including machine guards).
  • Seeks and recommends ways to eliminate potential quality problems, to improve procedures and methods, to increase department and division productivity using data collection and TQ problem solving tools.
  • Keeps department and machines clean and orderly.
  • Maintains department records per established procedures.
  • Supports the department team and continuous improvement concepts by suggesting changes/ improvements of setups and processes. Assists in documentation and control of these processes in accordance with established policies/procedures.
  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

Job Requirements


  • Physical ability to lift, carry and maneuver 60 pounds.
  • Two-year vocational school certification in industrial maintenance, electronics or equivalent and five years’ experience as a maintenance/machine repair technician
  • Proficient in machine shop math (including trigonometry and geometry)
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand and interpret all applicable blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair machines and equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform carpentry and plumbing repairs and fabrication.
  • Knowledge to perform maintenance and light repairs on HVAC equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal/written) with customers, suppliers and other employees
