Job Description



PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Able to perform preventative maintenance tasks and procedures
  • Ability to effectively read mechanical blue prints and electrical schematics
  • Utilize mechanical precision measuring instruments
  • Utilize electrical measuring instruments
  • Understands electricity principles up to 480 volt / 3 phase
  • Understands pneumatic & hydraulic systems
  • Understand and / or obtain basic knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Record completed work on current forms
  • Establish and retain knowledge of production machine functions, allowing for accurate troubleshooting and repairs
  • Safely able to operate all machine shop equipment:
    • Hand power tools such as drills, grinders, etc.
    • Milling machines
    • Drill press
    • Band saw                         
  • Ability to effectively trouble shoot equipment and processes
  • Maintain our resin feed system
  • Understands and practices all safety/hygiene rules and follows strict product safety and quality standards to meet company and customer required standards.
  • Reports all unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor; corrects where possible
  • Applies good housekeeping standards and keeps area clean and organized
  • Follow all company safety procedures, safe work and good housekeeping practices.
  • Demonstrates and ensures that safety is first in all process activities

OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Quality assurance involvement in SQF activities and environmental compliance activities.
  • Works independently or as a team
  • Diagnoses problems with existing maintenance equipment.
  • Orders parts as necessary to maintain proper levels of parts inventory and/or efficient operation of production processes.  
  • Participates and supports the company’s continuous improvement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Available to be on-call (rotating schedule)

Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.  Advanced technical training or experience in the areas of industrial electrical and mechanical, maintenance, welding PLC, etc.

Equipment used:  personal computer, MS office, meters, mills, micrometer and various hand tools as required.
