Job Description

Texwipe, a division of Illinois Tool Works, is a global leader in contamination control serving Life Sciences, Microelectronics and Industrial markets. We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic who can work a 12-hour rotating shift from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.



Responsibilities


·        Installs, performs preventive maintenance on, repairs, programs and replaces equipment.


·        Troubleshoots equipment problems and recommends time, equipment and materials required to effect repairs; makes emergency repairs as required.


·        Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of mechanical pneumatics, electro mechanical fluid power components, electrical controls, solid-state DC drives and A C inverters, process control modules and programmable logic controllers.


·        Maintain electrical systems through the facility, max voltage 480 VAC.


·        Uses and performs maintenance on a variety of tools and electrical and electronic test equipment; calibrates equipment as required.


·        Reads and interprets specifications, diagrams, manuals and other documentation.


·        Designs equipment, installations and modifications; makes required mathematical calculations, prepares schematics and diagrams for documenting installations; determines supplies and materials required.


·        Provide machine set-up, changeover and part replacements.


Job Requirements

·        Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Systems Technology or 5  years of experience in an equivalent position.


·        Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical/electronic systems required.


·        Must have good communication, math, and computer skills.


·        Must be able to frequently stand, stoop, kneel and lift up to 40 lbs.


·        Must be able to work overtime on a short notice and work a flexible work schedule as needed.
