Job Description

Assists in keeping the plants electrical and controls systems and utilities operating properly and at their utmost efficiency by providing technical support, both planned and reactive, for all the electrical and controls systems within operations.

Essential Job Functions
  • Proficient in programming troubleshooting and diagnostic repair of controls systems such as Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers,AC and DC drives and motor controls.
  • Dismantles, inspect installs, assembles, troubleshoots, repairs, aligns and maintains electrical and mechanical controls and devices on production equipment\
  • Skillfully use standard and precision tools, gauges, test equipment, and soldering, welding, burning, or brazing equipment
  • Perform basic mechanical work such as helping perform cleaning die, changing belts, bearings or stretcher bars

Job Requirements:
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting; experience can be acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience
  • Read and understand schematic diagrams and E and I engineering drawings
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Technical competencies to operate hand, power, and pneumatic tools
  • Must be able to trace problems on machines using accepted maintenance procedures and techniques
  • Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions, record daily logs and update necessary departments
  • Basic math skills to use micrometers, scales, levels, and tapes
  • Sufficient visual acuity to read instructions; digital screens operate machines, trace machinery problems by sight.
  • Ability to operate lift truck, boom lift and scissors lift
  • Must be able to occasionally climb stairs and work elevations of more than 20 feet.
  • Basic computer skills to enter work orders on maintenance connection and communicate with team members & management
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be willing to work 12-hours 4 weeks rotating shifts
  • Demonstrate good job attendance and punctuality
