Job Description

Assists in keeping the plants electrical and controls systems and utilities operating properly and at their utmost efficiency by providing technical support, both planned and reactive, for all the electrical and controls systems within operations.

Essential Job Functions
Proficient in programming troubleshooting and diagnostic repair of controls systems such as Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers. AC and DC drives, motor controls,
Dismantles, inspect installs, assembles, troubleshoots, repairs, aligns and maintains electrical and mechanical controls and devices on production equipment\
Skillfully use standard and precision tools, gauges, test equipment, and soldering, welding, burning, or brazing equipment
Perform basic mechanical work such as helping perform cleaning die, changing belts, bearings, stretcher bars.
Job Requirements:
Requires a minimum 5 years in industrial manufacturing; experience can be acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. A valid Valeron Strength Films Lift Truck license is required.
Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions, record daily logs and update necessary departments
Ability to operate lift truck, boom lift and scissors lift
Basic math skills to use micrometers, scales, levels, and tapes
Basic computer skills to enter work orders on maintenance connection and communicate with team members & management
Technical competencies to operate hand, power, and pneumatic tools
Must be able to work in a team environment
Electrical troubleshooting experience
Must be able to trace problems on machines using accepted maintenance procedures and techniques
Must be able to anticipate, evaluate, and consider the consequences of various actions.
Sufficient visual acuity to read instructions; digital screens operate machines, trace machinery problems by sight.
Demonstrate good job attendance and punctuality
Read and understand schematic diagrams and E and I engineering drawings
Prior industrial manufacturing experience required
Work Conditions:
Environmental Conditions: (Dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, toxic conditions, work hazards, etc.) Controlled environment, noise from refrigeration equipment, etc. – Activity: Work is performed in doors on concrete floors involving extreme temperatures and outdoors. Requires safety shoes, ear plugs, and safety glasses. Must be able to occasionally climb stairs and work elevations of more than 20 feet. Work in high noise levels that requires ear plugs. Must be physically able to exert up to 60 pounds of push force and up to 80 pounds of pull force.
Must be willing to work 12-hours 4 weeks rotating shifts
Must be willing to perform job functions following set safety procedures.

Standard and precision tools, gauges, testing equipment, soldering, welding, burning and brazing equipment, electrical hoist, crane, fork lift, electrical/hand held tools/wrenches, utility knife, safety glasses, ear plugs, and EHS safety shoes.
