ITW Rippey is currently accepting resumes for a Machinist II.  This position is responsible for managing the machine shop and its safety, scheduling in-house and outside work, program, set up, and operate all the machinery and inspect any part made in the shop.  This position is also responsible for partnering with engineering and manufacturing to build what is needed to improve the Company’s product.   

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


·         Program, tool, set up, and operate the CNC 4 axis FADAL mill, and KIA lathe using solid models, blueprints, sketches, and/or ideas.

·         Create models and drawing with Autodesk Inventor from sketches and verbal instructions proving form, fit and function to meet the needs of the final product.

·         Teach machining skills and safety to the best of your knowledge to any person helping in the shop.

·         Be able to solve any machining and assembling problems that come along.

·         Have the experience to operate/tool the manual mill and engine lathe to produce accurate parts.

·         Be a self-starter, work with minimum supervision, and help keep the other machinist on task.

·         Purchase the tooling and materials needed for the project and estimate delivery dates, being able to change task on a moment's notice, then follow through with minimum interruption.

·         Have the ability to Inspect all the parts made with the appropriate tools supplied.

·         CMM, micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators, gage pins) keep the projects flowing and be able to decide what should be next in line to minimize any downtime.

·         Be willing to take on any job or help in any department that you can safely do so.

·         Schedule machine maintenance when needed to keep them running safe and do general service yourself (oil, belt adjusting, cleaning)

·         Promote a safe work place and follow all established work policies.
