Coding Products (Kalkaska, MI) is a member of the Specialty Films division of Illinois Tool Works (NYSE: ITW), a Fortune 200 global diversified industrial manufacturer.  We offer a safe work environment with a stable company that has been specializing in the development and manufacture of standard and custom printing ribbons for 40 years. 

We have one Slitter (machine) Operator position open on 2nd shift (Mon - Fri 2:00-10:30p).  Starting pay is $11.64/hour plus an additional $0.75/hour shift premium.  The primary responsibility of this position is the setup and operation of multi-blade slitting machines to cut and wind large rolls of ink-coated polypropylene or polyester film into smaller rolls as determined by customer specification.  Operators are also responsible for quality, material handling and packing duties. The physical requirements include constant standing/walking; constant use of upper extremities to handle/manipulate/lift/carry/reach; and ability to visually identify product quality defects. 

Job Requirements

Our ideal candidates have a stable employment history, a positive and collaborative attitude, a desire to learn, and a demonstrated ability to work safely in producing a quality product.  Prior applicable manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required.  Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills are a plus.  Candidates selected for employment must pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
