Position Summary:

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the customer needs, including ASNs, Paperwork, Communication, Revision Changes, Label Requirements and more. They will work to meet the daily requested schedules and deadlines while holding to all compliance requirements.


  • Schedule inbound containers.
  • Edit In-Transit Reports.
  • Transact in the Warehouse Management Software.
  • Work with Accounting department to ensure proper paperwork is relayed.
  • Create and complete ASNs for all trading partners.
  • Issue Checklist, Labels, Handhelds to the OEM Handlers.
  • Photograph orders for compliance accuracy.
  • Work with customers, drivers, and carriers for timely pickups and shipments.
  • Answer daily promises, Alerts, Launches, Tickets, Alarms in customer portals.
  • Attend trainings as needed to grow in their knowledge base.
  • Research portals for customer updates.
  • Work with Program Management on Event Shipments.
  • Knowledge of part revision changes.
  • Work with customers on Scorecards.
  • Order supplies for warehouse.
  • Knowledge of Cycle Counts, Returnable Dunnage, Weight Verification Scales, Handheld Scanners.
  • Maintain great relationships with vendors to create long-term partnerships.
  • Analyze customer orders for shortages, and coordinate with inventory management representative to determine availability.
  • Release customer orders to warehouse for processing.
  • Complete additional orders as needed.
  • Coordinate and perform all aspects of OEM shipments.
  • Analyze transportation for trends & abnormalities.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance manuals.
  • Maintain customer specification manuals and visual aids for warehouse personnel.
  • Document customer requirements.
  • Investigate shipper & consignee complaints regarding lost, short & damaged merchandise and determine root cause analysis.
  • Manage various reports.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or G.E.D.
  • 3- 5 years related logistics background in a manufacturing environment required. 
  • College Degree preferred 
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment.
  • Have proficient computer skills with thorough knowledge in Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with operating and warehouse Management software.
  • Understanding of hazardous materials, a plus
  • Able to work independently, be dependable and adapt to changes in systems and procedures. 
  • Employee must work well under pressure while meeting multiple tasks or competing deadlines.

•Ability to life between 25 and 50 lbs.

•Climbing:  Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.  Body agility is emphasized. 

•Balancing:  Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. 

•Stooping:  Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

•Kneeling:  Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

•Crouching:  Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

•Reaching:  Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

•Standing:  Particularly for sustained periods of time.

•Walking:  Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

•Pushing:  Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

•Pulling:  Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

•Lifting:  Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.  This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.

•Fingering:  Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.

•Grasping:  Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

•Talking:  Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.  Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

•Hearing:  Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction.  Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound.

•Repetitive Motions:  Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

•The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned.

  • This position requires travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to sit for a long period of time.
  • Flexibility in schedule: may need to work weekends, evenings, or early morning hours as workload demands.
