Job Description:

This position will be responsible for the calibration of all electrical test equipment used at MILLER Electric, Bernard and TEO, as well as some outsource vendors. Responsible for the record keeping and scheduling of off-site calibrations. Responsible for repairs on the test equipment if repairable. Will work closely with engineers on purchase of new test equipment. Works with vendors of off-shelf test equipment. Responsible for shipping out and tracking equipment that goes back to OEM manufacturer for calibrations. Also responsible for following and maintaining calibration procedures per ISO requirements.

  • Must have the ability to evaluate condition of equipment and perform necessary repairs to equipment as required
  • This position requires the successful candidate to have the willingness to accommodate the customer's schedule and production demands
  • Prefer recent Quality Control experience
  • Must be a self-starter and work with limited supervision
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be willing to attend Calibration Trainng on an annual basis to stay up to date with current certificaitons in calibration
  • Limited travel required - mostly local/Wisconsin
  • The candidate must show a demonstrated track record of building successful vendor/supplier relationships
  • Proven track record of attention to detail, good follow through and effective resolution to problems
  • Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, high demanding environment
  • Ability to prioritize and make appropriate decisions
  • Able to relate effectively in a professional manner with customers
  • Communicate using verbal and written skills in ways that honor diversity
  • Practice safe work habits
  • Familiarity experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word)
  • Flexibility to work unscheduled/short notice overtime

Job Requirements


  • 2 year technical degree in electronics, electro-mechanical, electrical instrumentation OR related field required
  • Candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude, high motivation and excellent interpersonal skills who works well in a business unit team environment with minimum supervision.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to write accurate and concise reports is required
  • Up to 5% travel may be required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
