There is currently an opportunity for a 2nd and 3rd shift Knitter. Positions will be based in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Check machines at the start and during the shift for quality problems.
  • Inspect product to ensure that specifications are met and to determine if machines need adjustment.
  • Patrol all assigned machines during the shift and check for thread paths, roll size, correct yarn lots and cleanliness.
  • Tie yarn on creel as necessary.
  • Notify Lead Technician or Supervisor of mechanical malfunctions.
  • Cut knitted cloth with shears and doff rolls from machines.
  • Cleans machine and work area, using air hose, rags, and brooms, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Good communication skills; both oral and written required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
  • May require a forklift license.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime if needed.
