I.T. Solutions and Support Lead

Looking for a technically skilled, hands-on, broadly knowledgeable person to be part of a small I.T. team providing desktop, application, network and database support to a fast-paced manufacturing organization. This individual will be able to interact with all levels of users daily to discover, develop, deliver, modify and/or troubleshoot computer, network, printer and phone systems and applications with minimal direct supervision. This position reports to the IT Manager.


●  Ability to document a process or set of procedures for user instructions, standard operating procedures, technical archives or audits.

●  Ability to work with the team to rapidly recover business critical information including assisting with business continuity planning and resumption of applications, data, hardware, electronic communications (such as networking) and other IT infrastructure.

●  Experience with developing in and monitoring performance, integrity and security of databases.

●  Must have the ability to work across multiple teams to manage IT project scopes and expectations.

●  Backup support to both network and database administrators.

●  Solid understanding of computer hardware to include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading of office equipment such as scanners, printers and digital multifunctional copiers, and fax machines.

●  Knowledge of phone systems with the ability to troubleshoot wiring systems or repair switch equipment. Must be familiar with analog and digital phone systems, including VoIP.

Job Requirements


●  Requires 2 year technical school degree, or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Information Technology or related field.

●  7+ years’ experience with analysis and programming in, T-SQL and XML

●  7+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and above including BIDS to develop SSIS projects and SSRS reports.

●  Experience with the development, planning and implementation of ERP systems, with Syteline v9.0 or above preferred.

●  Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

●  Experience with installing well-functioning LAN/WAN and other networks as well as the ability to manage components (servers, IPs etc.)

●  IT Project management skills required.

●  Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project with in depth knowledge of Excel formulas, macros and external data sources.

●  Experience with research, design and development as well as testing of computer systems and components such as processors, circuit boards, memory devices, networks and routers.
