Job Description

Peerless Food Equipment is seeking an IT Analyst to design, configure, and support infrastructure technologies. The selected candidate will research and recommend suitable technologies and assist in the coordination and leadership of higher level projects in support of business objectives. This position will travel between locations in Sidney, Troy, and Hillsboro Ohio. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Develop, select, and implement procedures to ensure compliance with auditing requirements.

 Develop, select, implement, and maintain data backup and disaster recovery plans.

 Using best practices, develop, implement and maintain security infrastructures that ensure the protection of company assets.

 Provide technical assistance that supports the selection/development, implementation

 and maintenance of business systems.

 Select, design, and support for the company’s communications infrastructure (LAN/WAN/VoIP)

 Provide support for the company’s electronic communications platforms (Email, Instant Messaging, Unified Communications, VoIP, etc.)

 Select and implement infrastructure and monitoring solutions to ensure fast response times and high availability of all systems.

 Implement change control procedures to ensure that only properly reviewed and authorized changes are implemented.

 Manage the distribution of software for server and end user computing devices.

 Follow security and change control procedures.

 Manage the data storage and access network.

Job Requirements

  BA or BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline; or appropriate technical experience in lieu of degree.

  3+ years of experience maintaining similar responsibilities

  Must be customer oriented.

  Effective oral, interpersonal and written communication skills, including listening.

  Must be adaptable, flexible, organized and act with a sense of urgency.

  Must have demonstrated analytical/problem-solving, project management/task planning, technical risk assessment, creativity/innovation and technical leadership skills.

  Must be able to make sound, logical judgments using deductive reasoning, attention to detail; understands the cause and effect of such decisions.

  Self-starter; works with minimal supervision.

  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Environments, including virtualization.

  Advanced knowledge of IP network infrastructures, trouble shooting and monitoring

  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory security environment.

  Advanced knowledge of network and Internet security environments

  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server environment.

  Advanced knowledge of backup and disaster recovery best practices

  Advanced knowledge of software distribution best practices

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions 

  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  Up to 25% travel
