Division Overview

Fluids North America is a $145M division in the Polymers and Fluids Segment/Fluids Platform that produces industrial lubricants, cleaners, degreasers, and marking paints for Industrial MRO, Auto OEM, and Aerospace markets globally.  We have approximately 250 employees across our sites in Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Maryland. 


The ERP Support Specialist will work in an onsite support role with ITW Pro Brands Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system users at all levels throughout the organization. The position will be thoroughly knowledgeable about all aspects of the ERP system software and related database schema. Will work with 3rd party support company to design, develop, test, deploy and maintain data processing solutions to enhance the ERP system. 


Incumbent will be based in Olathe, KS location and report to the Information System Manager.


Primary Responsibilities:

1.     Perform as a member of an application support team for ERP system users throughout the organization.

2.     Work with ERP system users and management to determine appropriate system configuration and setups.

3.     Assist ERP system users with data conversion.

4.     Assist with testing enhancements of ERP system prior to use in a production environment.

5.     Create documentation and procedures guidelines for ERP system users.

6.     Conduct and assist in user training, both new users and enhanced modifications.

7.     Conduct regular permission audits to adjust to user’s responsibilities.

8.     Design, develop and maintain automated workflow processes, utilizing department best practices.

9.     Analyze and troubleshoot ERP system issues reported by end users.

10.  Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity issues.

11.  Assist in user security rights.

12.  Regular attendance at work and at scheduled meetings.

13.  Lead continuous improvement activities to improve processes and drive accountability.

14.  Responsible for establishing and maintaining good communication and working relations with company personnel and management.

15.  Foster, communicate, and exemplify the values of ITW; act with integrity and trust, operate with simplicity, treat everyone with respect, take shared risk.

16.  Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure optimal efficiencies.

17.  Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

Core Skills/Education/Experience Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field is desired.

·       Preferred 3 years working with an ERP system, major plus of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

·       Understanding of SQL Management Studio and Reporting, Active Directory, Windows operating systems (Win 7, Win 10 and Server 2016) and network infrastructure.

·       Jet Reports experience a plus.


The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

·       Necessary skills include; organization, effective oral and written communication, strong interpersonal, above average math, problem solving, analytical and being proficient with standard industry productivity tools such as Microsoft Office.

·       Knowledge of Jet Reports administration is a plus.

·       Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

·       Thorough understanding of Microsoft Dynamics NAV functionality and database schema is a plus.

·       Thorough understanding of Microsoft Dynamics NAV user setup and permissions is a plus.
