Title:  Industrial Maintenance Technician/Supervisor

Company Description:

ITW Professional Automotive Products specializes in the manufacture of automotive maintenance products including fluids (treatments and additives, cleaners, functional fluids along with the equipment required to perform the services) and wiper blades.  Major business segments include New Car Dealers, Tire, Muffler and Brake and Quick Lube facilities.  Each channel can be serviced with differentiated chemical products and brands.  Sales are approximately 60 million annually.  This position will be located in Lakeland, FL.


Provide mechanical support and repair for all equipment and oversees the maintenance of the entire facility/campus. Ensuring through team members that Company policies, practices, schedules, and quality standards are followed. This position supports the Production team with short and long-term maintenance planning and is responsible for all maintenance related duties, and activities personally and or through team members, or vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage indirect reports as assigned
  • Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, practices, and procedures relating to plant operations
  • Ensures accurate and timely Preventative Maintenance scheduling by following policies, procedures, and guidelines and implements adequate controls for monitoring compliance
  • Establishes and follows Quality Controls and insures issues are being reviewed and documented to achieve an average or above average audit rating for the business unit as outlined by ISO
  • Provides management with timely review of Preventative Maintenance status and progress
  • Coordinates monthly Maintenance budge, monthly outlook updates, and other reporting requirements
  • Assist with the preparation of Maintenance budgets, reviews budget proposals, prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification
  • Responsible to provide proper leadership, motivate, train, develop team members to achieve maximum performance and to achieve corporate goals
  • Ability to read and interpret and develop a variety of instructions, documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and departments, communicate effectively to management, subordinates, customers, and ability to speak effectively before groups
  • Evaluate, initiate, recommend and implement process improvements in order to increase Blending, Maintenance, and Manufacturing efficiencies/effectiveness
  • Assist with the coordination of all maintenance throughout the Lakeland campus. Provides updates to the Production Manager on all MRO supplies (Maintenance, Repair, and Operating), must evaluate and make recommendations for equipment purchases.
  • Ensures to provide a safe and clean work environment for all. Establishes and implements housekeeping policies and procedures. Coordinates with EHS Manager to establish and implement safety policies and procedures – includes safety issues and risk aversion

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED, required
  • MSSC certification, required
  • OSHA 30 certification, required
  • Industrial Mechanic with production maintenance experience
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience
  • Production management experience background
  • Ability to write, read, and speak in English
  • Reasoning skills
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. without accommodations, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and to sit and talk or hear
  • Basic computer knowledge

Preferred Experiences:

  • PLC/Electronics/Automation certification, preferred
  • Industrial Mechanic Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education
