The Human Resources Manager is a strategic business partner to the salary population and leadership for the ITW Hartness Division.  This role will be responsible for employee development and engagement, proactive workforce planning, performance management, coaching of supervisors/managers, and to deliver on ITW Hartness’ strategic intent.

 This position will be based at our headquarters in Greenville, South Carolina. 

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • HR business partner and focal point for the salary population, covering all areas of the HR function.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the HR Generalist to drive optimal development and a high performing HR function.
  • Works with leadership to drive ongoing talent review processes, including the creation and execution of development plans for high potential employees or development programs.
  • Works with leadership and employees to foster and promote a climate of inclusion and accountability
  • Advises and supports leadership on organizational design that will enable the business to grow and operate effectively.  This includes evaluating work structure, job design, and workforce forecasting, interdependencies, and role and responsibility clarity. 
  • As the salary compensation expert, drives the annual salary performance management, merit review, and incentive processes in full compliance with the Compensation and Benefits’ programs.
  • Assists with the identification, development, and execution of training processes and programs critical to the achievement of ITW Hartness’ annual and long-range plans.
  • Supports HR Director in defining, managing, and successfully implementing change management processes and practices with a focus on ITW Hartness culture and values.
  • In conjunction with the HR Director, define, lead, and implement large scale projects that support ITW Hartness’ overall strategic intent.
  • Creates and leverages data to drive analytical decision making within the HR organization and stakeholders to support key business decisions.
  • In concert with leadership, builds and drives a positive employee culture.  Actively leads employee communications, roundtables, engagement activities, and provides right-touch HR support to the business.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of results
  • Excellent understanding of employee/industrial relations, including knowledge legal compliance, compensation, and disability management.
