ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This position is accountable for leading the HR function at the plant level by providing generalist advice and support to the Plant Managers and his/her team.  The incumbent is responsible for defining, developing and implementing human resources initiatives
within the group.  He/She will also support the Plant Leaders in a highly diverse range of issues such as: 

  • Acting as a HR advisor/consultant to the plants as appropriate
  • Acting as liaison on strategic HR matters between the plant and division function.
  • Building the leadership team at the Plant level, to include the Plant Manager and Functional Leadership team members.
  • Participates in plant and division level management recruiting
  • As a member of the plant’s management team, contributes to the team’s effectiveness and overall business strategies and direction
  • Acts as a steward for HR within the businesses in the plant
  • Champions diversity goals, strategies and plans within the plant.

The Plant Human Resource Manager will report to the Shakeproof Automotive Human Resource Director and will be responsible for managing and coordinating all HR activities within the Shakeproof Automotive business and supporting the Machesney Park, IL and Darlington,
WI plants.  



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA degree required or combination of business experience and education
  • 5-7 years of experience of progressive HR experience
  • Ability to manage complexity and change
  • Experience in HR generalist work
  • HR qualifications/certification is an asset
  • Excellent understanding of employee relations
  • Strong financial skills & business understanding
  • Experience in working successfully in  multi-plant, matrix driven organization
  • Excellent understanding of business dynamics and organizational design
  • Can deal with high level of complexity within an ever changing business environment
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills
  • Strong organizational, change management and analytic skills
  • Strong intrinsic motivation, positive charisma and high degree of personal integrity, reliability and identification with the Company
  • Strong people management skills. Excellent at driving accountability and results
