Job Description

ITW’s internship program provides its interns with meaningful projects, network events and development opportunities. In addition to real-world experiences, interns can build their professional network with enterprise leaders and fellow interns from across the country.

Magnaflux, a division of ITW, Magnaflux is currently seeking a Human Resources (HR) Intern for the summer of 2019. This individual will work on projects across a variety of HR facets and learn about many different HR functions including recruitment, performance management and employee development.  This role will be located within the ITW Corporate Campus in Glenview, Illinois.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Design communications relative to wellness, recruitment and performance management.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiative including focus group facilitation and action plan development.
  • Review internal HR SharePoint and assist in creating and updating content.
  • Work alongside safety committee conducting safety audit and generating new ideas in line with Magnaflux’s safety playbook.
  • Assist in creation of training materials and presentations and establish training record management process.
  • Research recruiting best practices, including social media and diversity strategies.
  • Partner with HR team on wellness-related activities and incentives.
  • Additional projects and tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, economics, or related field. 3.0 GPA or above.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership and teamwork capabilities required (extracurricular, academic, etc.).
  • Previous relevant internship experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
