Job Description

The Human Resources Intern will combine their education with practical HR experience in core HR areas. Assignments may include projects around talent acquisition, talent management, leadership effectiveness, organization design and development or other Human Resources generalist experiences within the Residential and Renovation division.

 Our division is specifically focused on assessment of training and development needs for our Sales and Marketing resources, with a focus on development of programs to grow and sustain standards for business acumen and data-driven and customer-centric decision making. Other areas of project opportunity may include support of HR program initiatives at our Distribution Centers or within our Engineering team.  The Residential and Renovation HR Internship will be sure to provide access to a fast-paced work environment with exposure to HR priorities across the division for a rewarding and comprehensive internship experience.

 Our Glenview campus includes an onsite-gym, cafeteria, outdoor volley ball courts, one mile of walking trails, employee resource groups, and ample parking. We are one block walk to the nearest Metra station, and it is a quick 20-minute train ride to downtown Chicago, museums, lakefront and activities.

What we are looking for:

  • Rising senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Economics or related disciples (graduating summer of 2020)
  • Leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills and activities demonstrated through professional, community or extracurricular involvement
  • Basic understanding of Human Resources and a desire to pursue a career in HR
  • Eagerness to learn, demonstrated curiosity and a drive to excel
