Recruitment/Workforce Planning

  • Manage and attend college recruitment fairs/events, technical colleges, and other offsite events to promote ITW.
  • Handle on going recruitment and selection processes and strategies, including workforce planning, temporary workforce, recruitment events and new hire orientation and on-boarding.

 Employee Relations

  • Provides coaching and support to managers/supervisors in solving employee relation issues, such as disciplinary action, attendance, performance issues, etc.
  • Supports and coordinates employee events, recognition programs, awards, activities, etc.

 Wellness Champion

  • Enhance and improve awareness of wellness programs and increase engagement in health education opportunities
  • Establish a wellness committee that would be responsible for specific programs and initiatives that focus on ensuring a healthy work environment, healthy work practices and wellness culture.
Continuous Improvement - Human Resources Program & Policy        Management
  • Manage the Affirmative Action Program ensuring compliance with all EEO and OFCCP guidelines -including diversity outreach, community efforts, job postings, reporting, legal postings on bulletin boards and records maintenance
  • Continuous improvement with HR processes using ITW Toolbox to simplify.


  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree a plus
  • Prior 2-5 years human resources generalist experience required preferably working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; demonstrates good listening skills; able to communicate status on process with colleagues, keep team members informed, and responds clearly to employee inquiries
  • Ability to work independently, without direct supervision, maintain confidentiality, and take initiative is a must.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize work load, assume and manage multiple tasks without close supervision, and consistently meet deadlines. Independent, self-starter, quick learner.
  • Adapts easily to change, performs calmly under pressure and works effectively in ambiguous environments. Ability to make independent decisions and regularly suggest ways to improve services and processes.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization and demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude in working with people.
  • Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and employee information.
  • Strong technical skills / aptitude: Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
