Position Summary
The HR Business Partner is responsible for the overall Human Resources activities for the France Operations/Support Functions (200 people) and for the France Social relations/Trade Union. This role partners with key managers to support in maximising the performance of their teams through driving effective Talent Management, Recruitment, Organisational Design and supporting Managers to enable “Full Potential" performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the Operations and Support Functions managers to support the delivery of business objectives
  • Partnering with local managers on: On-boarding, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Succession Planning, Organisation Design, Compensation Analysis, Skills Frameworks and Proactive Talent Management
  • Drive & lead Social Relations/trade union & France Collective negotiations for France legal Entity
  • Implementation of the local policies and procedures in keeping with local legal requirements.
  • Act as a champion for the business culture and become an expert in the ITW business model
  • A key contributor to formulating business strategy through business analysis.
  • Key contributor to shape the organisational design to meet strategic goals
  • Support Continental HR Director on ad hoc and scheduled Divisional initiatives.
  • Report: none yet 1 HR assistant dedicated to Operations

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of proven HR Business partnering and results in a medium to large international company.
  • Experience of working in or with manufacturing businesses
  • Demonstrable development of talent, succession planning and organizational changes
  • Proven success in driving France social relations, Labour Unions & collective negotiations
  • High academic record with a Bachelor’s degree and ideally HR qualifications.
  • Strong Business appetence. Ability to build credibility within a business, to be able to partner strongly with managers.
  • Real team player able to establish credibility with and influence all levels.
  • Outcome focused, adopting an 80/20 approach to HR activities.
  • Experience using data to make business insights and then implementing actions around it.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Solid understanding and application of Emotional Intelligence
  • A hands-on approach to getting things done with desire to have an impact.
  • Willingness to travel to different business sites when required (approx. 25%). 
  • Fluent English, French – German a plus
