ITW Global Appliance Components Division is a $280M business and deliver world’s premier value added components provider of Performance, Safety and Energy solutions that improve the life of end-users in the home appliance industry, serving all the major Appliance OEM in the US, Europe and Asia.

Our more than 1,800 employees develop, sale and manufacture mechanical, electromechanical and electronic components and assemblies with a variety of manufacturing processes including injection molding, stamping, automated and manual assembly. We have units in the US, China, Mexico, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria & Italy.

Position Summary:

The Sales & Engineering Director will report to the VP/GM Global Appliance and will be responsible for driving organic growth through directing and coordinating business development, sales and engineering regional teams. Individual will also define and lead strategies that will deliver innovative solutions for our Global Appliance customers.


•Increase the profitability of the organization thru growth of differentiated products or services

•Continuously analyze key Appliance market drivers and adjust/implement sales, engineering and marketing systems to produce significant, strategic results.

•Analyze and understand global business markets and customers, 80/20 for product evaluation while leveraging resources to best achieve results.

•Champions the ITW Leadership Development framework, developing, recruiting and attracting talents within the business to support current and future needs.

•Active member of the leadership team developing the Annual plan and LRP strategies.  Effectively translating the strategies into the sales and engineering organization.

•Manage the sales & engineering financial performance by directing and leading all aspects of the day-to-day sales & engineering functions, short and long term sales forecasting, support annual and long-term business initiatives and ensure sales & engineering achieves monthly and annual financial goals.

•Drive innovation and solutions to meet customer needs and establish sustainable differentiation in the market place (Patents)

•Daily, weekly, monthly and periodic sales & engineering reports.

Job Requirements

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university or equivalent ITW experience; Master’s Degree a plus.

• Minimum 5-7 years of management experience in sales and engineering. Global experience and Appliance industry knowledge is a plus.

• Proven ability to be key contributor to a management team. Demonstrated positive working relationships with others at all levels of the organization

•Injection molding and assembly experience a plus.

•Proven capability establishing  good relationships and contributing in a team environment

•Experience with new product development and patent focus a plus.

•Prior experience in innovation and patent generation is a requisite.

•Excellent business analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Strong Business Acumen and Financial data analysis required to drive performance and focus.

•Exceptional track record of developing and implementing global sales & marketing strategies.

•Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with experience in communicating and working with a remote staff.

•Ability to manage complexity and change.

•Demonstrated ability to make tough business and leadership decisions.

•Ability to identify and develop and mentor future leaders/managers.

•Leader, motivator and self-starter.

•Willing to travel world-wide 50% of the time.
