Division Overview

Fluids North America is a $145M division in the Polymers and Fluids Segment/Fluids Platform that produces industrial lubricants, cleaners, degreasers, and marking paints for Industrial MRO, Auto OEM, and Aerospace markets globally.  We have approximately 250 employees across our sites in Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Maryland.   

Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst will report to the Fluids NA Division Controller and be responsible for supporting the division with analytical support. The position will be based out of the Division Headquarters in Olathe, Kansas and may travel to various sites.

  • Design, develop, and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports that provide company leadership with information used in the decision-making process of various initiatives/projects.
  • Design, develop and maintain annual plan, LRP and forecasting.
  • Provide analysis on customer and product mix, customer profitability, procurement, inventory, financials, etc. in direct support of business decisions
  • Develop data models to aid in a greater understanding the impact of manufacturing activities to the financial performance
  • Work to identify key issues and develop metrics that can quantify them appropriately
  • Create and/or generate necessary reporting and analyses for Plant sites and Plant regions.
  • Collaboratively and independently assist in the analysis of data through extracting and defining relevant information.
  • Work with Business stakeholders to identify value added analytical opportunities
  • Prepare timely reports to highlight discrepancies in a dataset and accordingly suggest business rules to manage them.
  • Provide analytical expertise and develop data analysis tools to assist in understanding and solving business problems

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

•        Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting required (or equivalent work experience / CPA / CMA)

•        2+ years of experience in a similar role

•        Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

•        Strong and proven analytical and strategic skills

•        Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

•        Problem Solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully

•        Ability to work independently, asking for direction when needed

•        Oral Communication - speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; demonstrates presentation skills.

•        Written Communication - writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.

•        Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and complete assignments quickly and accurately.

•        Ability to effectively communicate and interpret, concisely, data to all team member levels.
