Position at Residential & Renovation

The Financial Analyst will provide timely financial analysis and forecast information.  In this role, you will work work with various functional areas of the business providing analysis for accurate business decisions including expense, payroll, and other profitability analysis as required in support of the business. You will also be responsible for timely and accurate completion of monthly accounting close responsibilities as well as partnering with key functional stakeholders to drive best practices and improve overall deliverables.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of the division’s financial information in compliance with ITW policies and GAAP
  • Provide financial analysis to develop an understanding of the business and drive results of stated business objectives including, but not limited to, analysis for 80/20 initiatives, monthly reporting and quarterly financial statement data to corporate and internal stakeholders, and supporting ad-hoc corporate financial and data analysis requests
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan, long range strategic plans, monthly outlooks, quarterly reviews, and other special analysis including qualitative, quantitative, and strategic contributions
  • Complete monthly financial close tasks, department expense accounting, distribution and analysis, payroll journal entry processing, fixed asset accounting, inventory grading accounting/analysis and other accounting functions as required
  • Administer financial document filing and records retention
  • Lead audit request requirements
  • Provide support and partnership with various functional partners

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA/CPA a plus
  • Finance or Accounting Internship or finance/accounting experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
  • COGNOS experience a plus
  • Business and communication skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Distribution experience a plus
