Job Description

Reporting to the on-site Controller, this role will lead the ITW Performance Polymers North America transactional finance team, consisting of three direct reports.  The role will be responsible in assisting with the simplification of existing business processes within the function and ensuring all processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner with adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

•         Manage month end close including Account Payable, Accounts Receivable and Inventory

•         Prepare and analyze inventory grading and reserve calculation

•         Prepare and analyze monthly customer rebate programs

•         Review teams journal entries and reconciliations at month end for accuracy

•         Prepare financial statements to final review stage by Controller

•         Submission of Controller approved financials to Corporate on a monthly basis

•         Analyze and report departmental budget vs actual

•         Manage financial aspects of the Inventory Cycle count program in accordance to the ITW policy

•         Assist in annual physical inventory counts

•         Assist in annual cost roll

•         Assist in year-end corporate reporting

•         Team Supervisor who provides mentorship and coaching to a team of three direct reports

•         Participation in cross functional business partnering to drive business efficiencies

•         Assist in special projects, reporting, and analysis as needed

•         Promote, support and adhere to all safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures


Job Requirements


•         Strong analytical/problem solving skills

•         Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines and excel in a fast-paced environment

•         Experience in a manufacturing environment highly desirable

•         Former people management experience and/or ability to display strong leadership attributes

•         Highly proficient in Excel

•         Excellent verbal and written communication skills



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•         Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent is required

•         3 -7 years of Accounting experience including inventory experience
