Summary
 
We have an opportunity for a highly motivated person whose work will reflect Instron’s commitment to customer satisfaction.  Working from home, within the Salt Lake City area, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform a variety of services including verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation / training, on a wide range of Instron’s products.
 
You will be provided with a company vehicle, appropriate tools/equipment, including a laptop computer cell phone, tablet, and the assurance that you have the support of well-established service operation.  The overall assigned service territory includes the entire state of Utah, and portions of Idaho and Wyoming.  Overnight travel to other areas of the country for training purposes and based on business need will be required at times. Travel up to 50% of the time (at times) can be expected.
 
Requirements
 
Successful applicants will have a technical degree and knowledge of electro–mechanical and hydraulic systems and principles.  Also, the ability to read, comprehend, and interpret basic technical information involving mechanics, electronics, hydraulics and materials science is required.  Must be able to interpret blueprints and schematics, understand electrical, mechanical and electronic systems and be familiar with PC’s including operating systems and Windows applications.  This role requires a high level of autonomy, as well as superior organizational, time management and customer service skills.  Prior field service or materials testing lab experience a plus, but not required.
