FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY FOR FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER:

This position serves as a key role in providing, preventative maintenance, full service support and integration between OEM customer/partners, hospitals and imaging centers. This position also represents a front-line position in uncovering disposable sales opportunities and assisting in the “pull through” of our disposables within the confines of service support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:

 Provides specified coverage in the US for preventative and corrective maintenance.

 Able to perform corrective maintenance and same day service on all makes and models of equipment with minimal technical support. This includes, but not limited to, maintenance on internal and external components, replacing bottom covers, troubleshooting electrical circuits by utilizing signal flow, and replacement of complete mechanical assemblies.

 Up to 60-80% travel primarily in assigned territory but can be deployed as needed throughout the US.

 Able to understand and troubleshoot system applications in a clinical setting.

 Document and report all service activity in a timely manner with the proper level of detail.

 Monitor and address customer vendor managed inventory requirements by maintaining a remote stock of parts. Periodic audits of stock and comprehensive daily documentation of usage required.

 Keep up-to-date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, ordering repair parts, and managing cycle times.

 Completes and adheres to all internal Precise training and certification requirements.

 Communicates all requirements to Precise as needed for support and maintaining seamless integration between Precise and the customer.

 Maintains customer documentation notifications and is proactive in early approval for annual PM’s.

 Assists in the resolution of errors related to invoicing, pricing, incorrect shipments of parts, loaners or returns. Escalates problems and concerns as appropriate

 Analyze and identify trends from Ad Hoc reports to help formulate business decisions and sales strategies.

 Communicate and collaborate with the Precise Customer Service Team to identify critical assignments and to share important information and updates.



Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

 Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of relative work experience or vocational training with at least 5 years of relative work experience is required.

 Previous experience in Biomedical or third-party medical field service is preferred.

 Highly competent technical skills with sensitive electronic devices.

 Strong written/verbal communication skills: demonstrates good listening skills, able to communicate status on process with colleagues, keep team members informed, and responds clearly to customer inquiries.

 Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and professionally interact with customers.

 Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrates a positive attitude and professional demeanor in working with all levels within the hospital service organization.

 Proven ability to read and interpret technical specifications.

 Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

 Comfortable working in confined spaces

 Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules

 No pacemakers or metal implants due to service activity in an MRI department

 Must be willing and able to travel up to 80% throughout the US.

 Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
