Job Description

ITW is a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturing company with decentralized business segments, which includes Food Equipment.  The Warewash Business Division, one of the groups in the Food Equipment Group, is seeking a Fabrication Operator for its Manufacturing Facility in Troy, Ohio. 

The Warewash Division wants to expand its presence in existing served markets as well as new markets and has openings in skilled trades to support this growth.  The Warewash Business Division produces Hobart brand commercial dishwashers used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, health care, cruise ships, schools and universities and retail.  We are in search of a first shift Fabrication Operator to support production of our commercial dishwasher to achieve business unit goals and objectives.

This position reports to the Fabrication Production Supervisor and takes direction from the Team Leaders. Successful candidates will be able to perform a variety of operations involving stainless steel on CNC, operator-controlled and hand operated bending equipment to form and bend products in prescribed shape and size. Perform set ups and operate shear and brakes; roll form and bend; turret press; and CNC laser equipment and work from a Kan-Ban system. Candidates must be willing to work scheduled daily and Saturday overtime, and will be responsible for operating all related equipment safely while producing quality parts.

Job Requirements

FABRICATION OPERATOR

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • A high school diploma or equivalent general education (GED) with formal trades training or a minimum of two years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work from shop orders, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to use scale, calipers, rule, protractor and gauges to set and check dimensions.
  • Ability to load programs and select material parameter types in controller.
  • Ability to meet production requirements and expectations.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Observe safety, housekeeping, recordkeeping and quality management system procedures.
  • Attendance is an essential function.
  • Work in self-directed team environment.
